Farming Simulator 25 - New Crop: Rice & Long Grain Rice

In Farming Simulator 25, there are two types of rice: long-grain rice and another type simply referred to as rice. Let’s take a closer look at the differences between these two varieties.
Types
Rice and long-grain rice require different water levels, as well as distinct machinery for sowing and harvesting, along with different seeds.
Unlike regular rice, long-grain rice is not sown in water. Instead, the rice paddy is flooded after sowing, rather than before.

Rice Paddies
Both types of rice are planted in rice fields, also known as rice paddies, which are specially designed to retain water. This is why you need ample open space on your land.
To begin the creation process, use the build menu. Rather than simply placing a field, you have the flexibility to shape it in any size or form you desire.
Greenhouses
You can purchase saplings at the dealership, or you can build a specialized greenhouse for cultivating rice saplings.
If your goal is to increase rice production, growing the saplings yourself is a smart move.

Rice : Planting & Harvesting
Here's the equipment you need to plant and harvest rice: You need a tractor, a cultivator, a specialized rice planter as well as a harvester, and a trailer. Some lime should also be in storage - but for the end of the whole process. Rice fields are pre-limed when you build them, which is why you don't need to apply it in the beginning.
Activate the water pump to flood the field before planting the saplings. The rice planter handles fertilization, so you won't need an additional fertilizer spreader as you would with other crops.
The pump will automatically supply the correct amount of water. However, you should check the water pump daily to ensure the proper water level is maintained, or you risk losing seedlings and reducing your yield. By the end of the growth cycle, the thirsty rice plants will have soaked up all the water.
Once the rice is mature, harvest it and decide whether to sell, store, or process it into other products. To grow another batch of rice, apply lime and cultivate the paddy after harvesting. Lime is only required after a few harvests, so be sure to check the field info to see if it's needed !
Long Grain Rice : Sowing & Harvesting
For long grain rice, you don’t need to flood the field right away. It is sown dry. Simply fill your seeder with seeds and begin sowing, row by row, until the entire paddy is covered.
Once you've sown the long grain rice, flood the field and maintain different water levels throughout the growth stages. The pump will ensure the correct amount of water is provided, but make sure to check it daily to maintain the proper level. If you neglect it, you risk losing some of your rice saplings.
Once the rice is ready to harvest and has absorbed all the fresh water, it's time to hop into your harvester! A standard combine with a grain header will work perfectly for the job.
After harvesting, you can choose to sell, store, or process the rice at select production plants. But we're not done yet! To prepare for the next batch of rice, apply lime to the field and use a cultivator to refresh the paddy for the next planting cycle.
