Farming Simulator 25: Beans & Alpacas brings coffee, alpacas and a new South American map

Farming Simulator 25 is heading to South America. GIANTS Software has unveiled the Beans & Alpacas Expansion, a major new expansion launching on October 27, 2026. It introduces Catuaí, a completely new farming region inspired by Brazil, alongside coffee cultivation, alpacas, Brahman cattle, new production chains and more than 25 new machines.

Welcome to Catuaí, Farming Simulator 25's new South American region

The centerpiece of the expansion is Catuaí, a brand-new map heavily inspired by Brazilian landscapes and rural architecture.

GIANTS Software describes a region of rolling hills, lower mountain slopes, humid vegetation and fertile red soil. A large winding river crosses the landscape, with traditional houses built on stilts appearing along its banks.

Narrow roads, plantations, colorful rural homes, shops and agricultural depots contribute to an environment that should feel very different from the regions already available in Farming Simulator 25.

Beans & Alpacas therefore goes well beyond simply adding a few vehicles. Catuaí is designed around a different agricultural environment, with its own crops, animals and seasonal rhythm.

Coffee becomes a new crop in Farming Simulator 25

Unsurprisingly for a Brazilian-inspired region, coffee is one of the headline additions.

Players will be able to establish coffee plantations, grow coffee plants and harvest their red cherries before incorporating them into new production chains.

Coffee also introduces an unusual seasonal cycle compared with existing Farming Simulator 25 maps. GIANTS Software says coffee can be planted from September, while harvesting takes place from May.

There is a simple explanation: Catuaí is located in the Southern Hemisphere. Its seasonal calendar therefore differs from those used on the game's European and North American maps.

For players who enjoy planning their farm around the seasons, the new region should provide a noticeably different rhythm of play.

Alpacas and Brahman cattle join the farm

The expansion's name also reveals another of its major additions: alpacas are coming to Farming Simulator 25.

Players will be able to keep alpacas in pastures and shear them for fleece, which can then be processed into wool. GIANTS also confirms that players can take them for walks using a leash to improve their happiness.

They are joined by Brahman cattle, a cattle breed particularly well suited to warmer climates and therefore a natural fit for Catuaí.

These new animals will integrate with the wider economy of the map and its new production possibilities.

New production chains, buildings and dinosaur bones

Beans & Alpacas will also significantly expand the construction and production side of Farming Simulator 25.

According to GIANTS Software, the expansion contains a record number of new buildings and decorations. Six houses will feature fully modeled interiors, alongside dozens of additional placeable objects designed for the new region.

Production will extend beyond traditional agricultural goods. Players will be able to manufacture products such as pigment and resin and contribute to activities intended to help the local community, including repainting houses.

Exploration has a role to play too. Dinosaur bones can be found around the region and displayed in a collectible museum, while another community project involves helping to build a Research Center.

More than 25 new machines and a new manufacturer

A Farming Simulator expansion would not be complete without new equipment, and Beans & Alpacas will add more than 25 vehicles and implements.

The machinery lineup includes equipment from manufacturers such as Case IH, Ford, John Deere, KUHN, Mercedes-Benz Trucks, New Holland, Oxbo, Stara and Valtra.

Brazilian manufacturer Colombo Industries will also make its Farming Simulator debut, bringing machinery suited to crops and farming practices represented in Catuaí.

GIANTS is also improving several visual aspects of fieldwork, including ground-tool animations, additional effects and updated sugarcane foliage.

A promising new map for Farming Simulator 25 multiplayer

Catuaí also looks particularly well suited to multiplayer farming.

Between coffee cultivation, livestock, new production chains, construction projects and more than two dozen additional machines, there should be plenty of work to divide between several players.

One player could focus on coffee production while others manage animals, transportation, fieldwork or production facilities. On a persistent dedicated server, that farm can continue evolving even when the person who originally created it is offline.

Beans & Alpacas launches on October 27

Farming Simulator 25: Beans & Alpacas Expansion launches on October 27, 2026.

With an entirely new region, a different seasonal calendar, coffee farming, new livestock, additional production systems and a substantial machinery lineup, Catuaí appears to be much more than another map for Farming Simulator 25.

GIANTS Software also says more features will be revealed before release, so there may still be additional surprises ahead of the expansion's arrival.
