FiveM Enhanced: August 11 Patch Fixes Server Performance and Connection Issues
FiveM for GTAV Enhanced received an important Early Access update on August 11, 2026. While the patch addresses several client-side bugs, some of its most significant changes directly concern dedicated servers, connection reliability, memory usage and CPU performance.
For server administrators already testing the new generation of FiveM, the update removes several potentially disruptive issues while continuing to refine the new Cfx Server architecture introduced alongside GTAV Enhanced support.
Random Server Connection Timeouts Have Been Fixed
One of the most visible fixes concerns players who could become stuck while joining a FiveM Enhanced server before eventually being disconnected by a timeout.
In the affected cases, the connection process had already started, but the final joined state was never triggered correctly. The August 11 patch fixes this behaviour, allowing the connection procedure to complete instead of leaving the player waiting until the server eventually drops the session.
For public communities, connection reliability is particularly important. Even when the server itself is running normally, repeated failures during the joining process can quickly become frustrating for players and generate unnecessary support requests for administrators.
A Routing Bucket Bug Could Consume Huge Amounts of RAM
The patch also fixes a particularly important server-side issue involving .
Routing buckets allow server developers to separate players and entities into different instances of the same game world. They are commonly used for interiors, character creation, missions, matchmaking, private areas or other situations where several independent groups need to exist on the same server.
Before the update, assigning a player to a routing bucket with a very high identifier could cause Cfx Server to reserve an excessive amount of system memory. In the worst cases, the process could attempt to consume virtually all available RAM.
What changes for administrators: routing buckets remain fully available. The patch specifically prevents abnormally high bucket IDs from triggering excessive memory allocation.
Entity Culling Now Uses Less Server CPU Time
Cfx.re has also reduced the amount of server CPU time consumed by entity culling, with the improvement being especially noticeable when multiple routing buckets are active.
Entity culling determines which vehicles, NPCs, objects and other synchronized entities are relevant to each connected player. Processing this efficiently becomes increasingly important as a server grows in population and complexity.
FiveM Enhanced already introduced a major redesign of this system. Unlike FiveM Legacy, where culling ran on the synchronization thread, Enhanced distributes the work across multiple CPU cores inside its new synchronization pipeline.
The August 11 optimization pushes this work further by reducing the CPU cost of culling itself. Servers making extensive use of instancing and routing buckets should therefore be among the environments most likely to benefit.
Missing Script Files No Longer Automatically Block a Resource
Resource handling has also been made more tolerant. When a resource manifest references a script file that cannot be found, Cfx Server can now report the missing file as a warning instead of automatically preventing the entire resource from starting.
This does not make a genuinely broken script functional, but it can prevent an obsolete or forgotten file reference from stopping every other valid file inside the resource from loading.
More Detailed Performance Metrics and Better Endpoint Security
FiveM Enhanced already provides server administrators with significantly more monitoring information than Legacy. Its Prometheus-compatible metrics include data related to networking, entities, routing buckets, state bags, memory, HTTP activity, handshakes and synchronization.
The August 11 update adds another metric dedicated to the execution time of individual synchronization stages. This gives operators a more precise view of where time is being spent inside the synchronization pipeline when investigating performance problems.
Diagnostics and metrics endpoints now also require authentication. This prevents anonymous users from accessing information describing the internal state and performance of a server.
Two new server commands are also available:
These commands allow administrators to generate a handshake key and load it from a file. The patch also reduces excessive console output, helping keep server logs more readable during troubleshooting.
Voice Chat and Several Client and Server Crashes Are Also Fixed
The update is not limited to backend improvements. Several voice chat issues have also been corrected. Functions such as and now return the correct state again, including after switching between push-to-talk and voice activation.
Additional Mumble stability fixes are included alongside several client and server crash fixes, corrected explosion event data and a client crash that could occur when calling with a model that had not yet been loaded.
FiveM Enhanced Is Still an Early Access Platform
FiveM for GTAV Enhanced entered Early Access on July 21, 2026. Cfx.re explicitly warns that this version can still contain bugs and missing features, and that capabilities may change before the final public release.
Enhanced is also much more than a compatibility update for the newer version of Grand Theft Auto V. It introduces the new Cfx Server, significant networking changes, a synchronization rate configurable up to 120 updates per second, multicore entity culling, improved state bags and a much larger monitoring system.
That makes stability patches particularly important during this phase. Cfx.re is not simply fixing cosmetic issues: it is still refining parts of the networking and server architecture that will form the technical foundation of FiveM Enhanced.
For production servers: administrators should continue testing their resources, scripts and configuration before treating FiveM Enhanced as a direct replacement for an established FiveM Legacy environment.
A Significant Patch for FiveM Server Administrators
The August 11 patch addresses several issues that can have a direct impact on a hosted FiveM environment: failed connections, excessive memory allocation, CPU usage, resource startup problems, monitoring and administration security.
FiveM Enhanced is not finished yet, but updates like this one show the platform progressing from its initial Early Access launch toward a more stable environment for larger and more demanding multiplayer communities.
