Conan Exiles: Legacy of the Giant-Kings Part Two brings Rifts and new Sorcery on October 6

Conan Exiles is getting another major content update on October 6, 2026. Legacy of the Giant-Kings: Part Two continues Funcom's four-part story arc with mysterious Rifts appearing across the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah, new combat encounters, four additional Sorcery spells and the return of the Mi-Go.

The update expands the storyline introduced with Akhamet and the Cyclopean Halls in Part One, but this time its effects will spread directly across existing Conan Exiles worlds.

For server administrators: Funcom has not announced any new server-specific configuration requirements for Part Two so far. Existing persistent worlds are expected to receive the new content when the update is deployed, but administrators should check the final patch notes on October 6 for any last-minute technical changes.

Rifts are appearing across the Exiled Lands and Isle of Siptah

The main feature of Part Two is a new system of Rifts.

These mysterious breaches will appear inside existing enemy camps in both the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah. Players will be able to locate a Rift, step through it and enter hostile arenas beyond the normal game world.

Each encounter will offer new challenges and enemies, with successful players able to collect new materials and rewards.

For multiplayer communities, this is particularly interesting because the system adds new objectives directly to established persistent worlds. Players will have new reasons to revisit familiar areas and enemy camps without having to abandon an existing server or start a new map.

Four new Sorcery spells to unlock

Legacy of the Giant-Kings: Part Two also expands Conan Exiles' Sorcery system with four new spells.

The spells are linked directly to Rift progression. Materials obtained from the new encounters can be used to unlock them and upgrade a new tome.

  • A defensive ward designed to protect the caster from incoming danger.
  • Void magic capable of hindering enemies and controlling the battlefield.
  • Corrupting magic affecting enemies caught within its area of effect.
  • A spell allowing players to prepare their magic for faster casting.

The result is a broader range of options for Sorcery-based characters, covering defensive play, crowd control, corruption and faster spell casting.

The Mi-Go return with a new mini world boss

The Rifts are also bringing back one of Conan Exiles' stranger creatures: the Mi-Go.

Players will encounter Mi-Go enemies as part of the new content, including a new Mi-Go mini world boss.

Defeating these creatures can reward players with themed items, while Funcom also teases the possibility of adding a Mi-Go thrall or pet to a settlement.

Combined with the Rift arenas and new Sorcery progression, their return gives Part Two considerably more replay value than a simple continuation of the story.

A new content update just weeks after the Iris networking upgrade

Part Two arrives shortly after an important technical update for Conan Exiles Enhanced.

Update 2.2.0, released on September 15, upgraded the game to Unreal Engine 5.8.2 and completed Funcom's migration to Epic Games' Iris networking replication system.

According to Funcom, Iris reduces the server cost associated with handling large numbers of replicated players and placeable objects. The studio described the change as its biggest server-performance improvement so far, although very large player constructions can still affect performance.

Legacy of the Giant-Kings: Part Two is a separate update focused primarily on gameplay and new content, but it arrives on top of this recently upgraded technical foundation.

Legacy of the Giant-Kings continues on October 6

Legacy of the Giant-Kings is structured as a four-part story arc, with Part Two expanding the mystery far beyond the Cyclopean Halls introduced earlier in the storyline.

The new Rifts, arena encounters, Sorcery spells and Mi-Go enemies will become available on October 6, 2026.

For established Conan Exiles communities, this means new activities are being introduced directly into worlds that may already have been running for months or even years — exactly the type of update that can bring players back together on a persistent multiplayer server.
